the price went up on permit apps. $15 res. and $25 nonres.,and the price of the permit is $150 res. and $500 non res. I'll be donating my $15 this year to keep my points, and not be in the draw.

Had moose (from Alaska) for the first time and it was so good that I decided I'm jumping in for the first time this year. App wants the areas prioritized. I have no clue (no surprise there, some would say) so any suggestions would be welcomed. I hunt deer in K and see pretty good sign every year but have never seen one.

After my buddy got his moose this year for the first time, I'll gladly pay my $15. That's some good eating right there!! What are we up to 4 or 5 points this year?? I agree. A friend finally won a permit after 23 years of applying. He made a moose stew and it was awesome. Before that I couldn't imagine why I'd ever shoot a moose but it was delicious. He got 700lbs of meat and had to give a ton away because it wouldn't all fit in his freezer. ;D

Well I picked up my moose application today and got it all filled out. Hopefully this year (like in the past) I'll get it in the mail and not leave it sitting on my work desk. In fact, I'll mail it in the morning! Seems like the past few seasons I had someone ask me after the deadline to get them in, "did you send in your application for your moose tag?” I'd :-[and ask them why didn't you say something a week ago? So my point is......don't think you have plenty of time! Get them in now and be done with it
