Last fall I got to go moose hunting with my Father in law and brother in law in Canada. A could not have a gun because no canadains have to go through an outfitter but it was still a blast. We hunted Moose in the moornings and evenings and birds during mid day.
The camp is about 50 miles from Timmins Ontarion (30 miles down the highway and 20 miles down a dirt road) We stayed out there for 4 days and got two moose. A calf and a 1100 pound bull. My fater in law shot them both. That is one thing different up there. You can party hunt as long as you are within 5 klicks off the tag holder. My fater in law had a bull tag and the brother in law a calf tag (if you apply for a moose permit and are not drawen for either a cow or bull you automaticaly get a calf tag).
Here are some pics of the camp (this is a REAL hunting camp) and the moose hut.

Great camp photos It sure does look pretty primitive and down right cold at night ;D Here's our WV camp and our PA hunting club in the snow. Don't have photos of the VT camp but will have to take a few next deer season. Our WV camp is pretty bad but serves it purpose. I corner of the camp to the left of the door, there's an 18" difference to the corner in the kitchen. Those that drink too much playing cards usually end up on the kitchen floor near the sink.

regnar I dont know much about Ont. but one of my best freinds is an outfitter in Alberta. The same thing there a non - res alien has to be guided by a licensed outfitter. Alberta has what is called hunter host program, that means every 3 years a resident can invite a freind to hunt, no money can be exchanged it is a buddy hunt type thing not for profit. I dont know but is it possible Ont has such a program.
