Over the years i've had trouble finding a jacket that would keep me warm while hunting. Some i've had weren't bad some were terrible. I hate putting on several layers of bulky clothing under them just so i can stay out all day.
This year i purchased a new jacket and it was wonderful. Performed way above any jacket i've ever had. The maker of the jacket is Beagle Outerwear. They are in Northern Vermont. They have several different weights. I got the Benoit Tracker Jacket. It is expensive but after seeing how well it kept me warm and dry it was well worth every cent. This is the last jacket i'll ever purchase.

When I read the first part of your post I started to think about my hunting coat. Then I as I get down I see you're talking about my coat! ;D
That gear is AWESOME! I picked up the same coat, pants and the handwarmer about three years ago and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that gear! I hunt in Northern VT and all I have to wear a good pair of long jons under that Beagle Wear and I'm set! It is very $$$ but as you posted, worth every penny ;D

that is so weird guys, I was bird hunting in vermont one year and it was COLD. as my buddies B-day was getting near his mom said she would take him to a store named farm-all. they carry the beagel brand. I bought a pair of their pants and LOVE them!!! I wear long johns under them and Have NEVER been wet or cold!!!! I wanna by the jacket to but the one i have is fine for now!!! I thought I was the only guy around that has heard of this brand!! I strongly suggest that they are worth every cent! For those guys who own them, how does the lighter jackets from them work? what temps. would you say they are rated for?? spring and fall hunting???

As i said i have the tracker jacket which is the lightest jacket they have. I wear a Underarmor shirt as the base layer. Then a thick turtleneck with a windstopper wool pullover. Then the jacket. I never got cold this year. I had one morning this year when i headed to my stand about 4:30. 5 degrees with a 30 mph wind. I got to my stand about 5:30 and stayed all day and never got even a chill. www.beaglewear.com/index.html Here's their website if you'd like to see what they have. Before next season i plan on investing in the pants.

The Benoit hunting jacket is named after the Benoit hunting family of Vermont.I went to one of there seminars at the sports show at rockingham park in Salem,N.H., they took the jacket and put some water on it at the beginning of the hunting seminar & the water stayed there until the seminar was over ,now that is waterproof. Bill ps.. I think they will be at the Worcester,Ma. show in Feb too.

My Uncle lives in Barre Vt. and knows the Benoit family. I had been looking at them for awhile and he wore his this year during Mass. shotgun and muzzleloader seasons. I got a chance to take a look at it and he loves it so i ordered one. I ordered on a wed. and got it the next afternoon. Unbelievable.
