Half the battle of entering your calls into compititions is waiting to hear from someone how they did. This year I placed 2nd and 4th at the mid west show, 3rd in the decorative wrap at the NWTF convention and 3rd at the dixie classic. Not too bad was hoping for a little better. there is always next year. Here is some pics of the Covention call. You can't see the inside of the bell that well but it is also wrapped inside.
nice wingbones you got there how many hours do you have in to it congrats on placing.
Thanks. BF good to see you here.
Jonathon I'm not sure time wise how many hours. I go through so many steps. I do a little each evening. One day its getting the bones together, next night will be the flags, then the next the diamond wrap, next night the end wraps, then I get the mouth peice in and the small wrap done, next night will be the end wraps on the small wrap and the following night I will coat it. I may take two weeks on a bone like this. I don't work on it every night just when the kids and work haven't worn me down too much.
A non-hunter may ask, "Why would you want to sit in the woods, alone, wet and tired; waiting for the opportunity to down an animal?" A hunter instinctively knows the answer. "We are human. We are predators. It's what we are MEANT to do."
