I went to VT with masshntr for a little bear hunting, turkey scouting and deer scouting. It yielded nothing but two short yardage shots on to varmint critters from my ole reliable Rem280. I missed them both so today I’ll be checking out what’s up with gun. I’m sure it was just me getting old. Two years ago I had bought two jars of bear lure from JV that was vacuumed sealed from them. I still had their package in two large freezer bags to make sure it didn’t leak any odor into our refrigerator. When I opened this bag to give masshntr still jar, the smell about knocked us out! That stuff is bad and I can see they call it a long range lure.
Even if you close the jar and put it in a large zip-loc bag, you can still smell the stuff. If anyone is still bear hunting, I’ll give you some if you want to try it. Anyways, I had a good time with masshntr and got the chance to check out new property in VT. Now I’m looking forward to NH smoke pole season next weekend.
