First Bear of "09

Just the other day I was talking bear with masshntr and now just this morning I spotted my first bear of the season. I ran out the get a coffee for the wife and I this morning. As I was leaving the DD and getting back on to the main road heading home, Something caught my eye on the bank of the highway just as I was passing it. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw what it was. A decent bear running across the highway. It wasn't a shooter in my book but defiantly not a cub.

Ken, he came from your side of the highway and was heading north between detour road and river. He was pretty much crossed right in the middle of the intersection and the bridge.

I talked to a young cutie at DD about picking up the throw away donuts this fall. I know where there's a decent bear that I'm thinking of baiting this year.

On Tuesday my buddy was working just past the power lines on Clement Hill. He saw two cubs crossing the road before the power lines heading east down into the woods towards Kyles friends house. Well his friend house is actually a long ways away but that the direction they were heading.
