my bear tag! I've been meaning to too but forget every time I'm up to Jim's Tonight I hit the woods and at 5:50 I heard a twig snap behind me. Took a look and saw the culprit....a pretty good size bear standing 30+ yards away on the other side of a stonewall. He walked away from me up along the stonewall to an opening. Before walking through the opening, he started digging in the stonewall. Not really digging but messing around with something. He ended up walk right behind my stand about 50 yards away and heading down into the woods on my left. Looked at him through the binoculars as he walked behind my stand and I have to say, it was one of the better bears I've seen in a while. Real healthy looking with a pretty short nose. If I were to take a weight guess, I'd go with 200-250 live. I'm buying my license tomorrow just in case I see him again I'll sent an arrow his way if he gives me another chance.

I need to get mine too. Stumbled upon a big pile of bear poop yesterday while scouting for coyotes.

Damn things are every where this year. Last night for the second time I had bears feeding within 15 yards. One was directly under my stand two nights ago. They came in at 5:00 and where still there at 7:00 when I got down. I thought they would scare away when they saw me come down from the tree. They just move off a little and watched me walk away. They were not concerned they just wanted to eat up all the white acorns. Tonight I'm hunting another stand I'm sick of seeing bear and no deer.

There have been so many bear the last two years, its scary. I keep stumbling across their stool piles. They are huge. I'd hate to find who left it, especially since I no longer own a sidearm capable of handling a bear.

Got my bear tag today. Going coyote scouting tomorrow in an area I saw lots of bear sign last week. Hopefully we'll find the big brute
