So I just picked this book up the other night for some reading on my 7 hour plane flight to England this coming Wednesday...damn work trips. Talk about hardcore, it makes me want to go hunt big game over in Africa full-time instead of sitting at a desk. He is very graphic...I'm still reading about the man eating lions and if the rest of the book is as good he's got a few more dedicated to the subject of big game hunting
The book is "Death in the Tall Grass" and it's written by Peter Hathaway Capstick.
Has anybody read this?

I read part of it, couldn't make it through the rest, not sure why, but his stuff just doesn't keep my interest.

So I finished this book on the flight to and from the UK this week and have to say...I look forward to reading the rest of the books that he was written.
It puts hunting a bit more into perspective when you read about Africa and the dangers that accompany ANY type of hunting there...seems more like a way of life compared to the "leisurely" past time it is here in the states...I need to hunt some larger game...I think I'm going to get a bear permit this year along with my deer tags.

Surprisingly no! The only topic of interest was the woman who looked like she had bird-flu or something...well there was the screaming kids on the way over, but I would have been screaming too if I was strapped into a seat and couldn't move! He probably just wanted to go turkey hunting!
