Can't believe it! Typical !$%^ sports announcers No birdies all day! In fact, he just bogeyed two holes and is still getting the top story Do you wonder who it might be? Tiger! Tiger Tiger Tiger That's all they ever talk about. I've been watching it pretty much all day here and he's had more time on the golf channel than the other players, the leader and commercials combined.

I have followed tiger since he was an Armature. The guy is amazing and in a world with people with such huge egos he has remained very humble. I agree that the media goes overboard but that is not his fault. I would like to see sergio do well and Els to.

Tiger will get all the notice, after all he claimed the grand slam was doable, all he had to do is win the right 4 weeks and this is #1 is the slam.
The guy has a "bad" day and he is only 4 off the lead, he's never been closer than that after day 1, says he played good, just didn't score. I predict he makes a big move today, shoots 68 or less and is in the top 3. At that point, its over. He's focussed and if he gets within a sniff of the lead, he's unstoppable, everyone else knows it and they will all start playing for second.
I'd like to see Els take a run at it, or Freddy, other than those two I'd like to see Tiger win, then watch they hype around the grand slam and see how high it gets if he wins the US Open, then British, the pressure alone would make him choke (if that's possible for him)

I've seen Tiger play several times before he was popular and after. He's very good and amazing to watch but the media kills it with all the press they give him and it's not his fault. Just the media trying to capitalize on his talent. There are so many tour players out there that when they do good, they deserve to be noticed. Instead it's over shadowed by the media hype of Tiger. A few years back I missed the final round of a tournament. The next morning I was trying to listen on the radio who won it and they never said! Only thing they mentioned was that Tiger tied for 7th or 10th! His worst finishing in his last 6 tournament Who cares We want to hear about the winner! Sergio, Justin, Ernie or Adam Scott won't be there I sure hope Phil can pull it out today.

Well the slam is not to be!
Looking back it was Tiger's for the taking, pretty much everyone backedup, he played not so good and lost by 3. If he could have put pressure on the top he probably had it, but he just couldn't make it happen.
