Whitetail: coyotes are a wicked smart animal! Start by checking your local laws on firearms that can be used then decide on what caliber. the most favored are .223 22/250 the new .204 is gaining popularity, .22 hornet, .22 mag 12 gauge. it depends on terrain, length of shots and what you want to do with the animal after it is shot. as far as calls, it depends on what you wanna do, I use mouth calls and I am still trying to perfect my calling. E-callers are easy and have alot of success. some use decoys and some bait them. again it depends on how You want to hunt them. Mk-M-GOBL and I are going out sat. night to call up some coyotes, He or I will post our results and what we did to get them in to shooting range (if we do) Education is the best way to get you into some. I read every article and talk to everyone I can for tips and tricks. GOOD LUCK

The best way to start out is to get a Randy Anderson video. Then get a 223 or 22-250 rifle with a 4x scope or a 3x9 scope. Then get a couple of hand calls and start practicing. Also invest in a howler and some camo.
