I finally got a confirmed two crows in one shot. We had a ton of crows in our field a bit over 200 yards away. I grabbed my dad's .223 wssm and waited for two crows to line up. One crow didn't budge the other one was still alive when we got there. Anyone else try this? Before I got my shotgun I would shoot 3 starlings in one shot with my .17.

Way to go troutpro ;D I had my first double this past Fall in my backyard. Darn crows would chase the turkey out of my yard so when two of them lined up feeding in my backyard! I popped them with my 22mag. They both never moved an inch but seeing it was only a 20 yard shot, the magnum destroyed them both. In the end I got what I wanted, two dead crows ;D I use to hunt them a lot on my Dads farm growing up. We had a good fly way right over our barn and we would slam them good. I never had a double with the shotgun

Good job troutpro ;D I have tried to get a double a few times, but never managed to connect with the second crow. I think my 22-250 bullets come appart too quick and are not going very straight after impact.

Next time I will use led bullets and see if the second ever moves. I used plastic tips this time, so it had fragmented before hitting the second crow. The led tips are more accurate anyways.

The good thing about fragmenting bullets is that you sure know when you connect with a shot.
I once won a bet, making a shot on a crow at a measured 555 yds. Someone said it could not be done and I had to argue differently. Well after the boom from the rifle, there was no bird were there once was. When we went out to investigate all that was left was two wings and a smear of feathers about three feet long.
Well that is about the only cool crow hunting story that I have.

that was my 22-250. It is a Mauser 98 action rebarrelled for 22-250 and has a walnut target stock. One heck of a shooter. Weights in at 12 lbs.
I think that luck had a little to do with the shot. zero wind and a nice overcast day. Everything fell into place and I set my dope for 550. I wish I could make shots like that all the time, but I can't. I seem to shoot better when there is a bet going.
