Hey guys well I got my new Wildlife Technologies caller last night. A funny little story before I start with my hunt today. I was sitting on the deck with Bill and he was going over the the caller sounds with me. Now this is in an urban location with alot of houses around. We played a couple of sounds just to get familiar with it. Three minutes latter we looked up and there was a a grey fox standing there 20 feet away. Now I know calling a grey fox is no big deal but it was completed unexpected to see one standing there where he was. So last night I went out and located a couple packs with the wife and of course she thought that was cool but a little creepy. Late this afternoon I went to one of these locations to try it out. About 25 minutes into the calling sequences a smaller coyote with a touch of the mange came barreling out of the woods. It was actually a pretty good stress relief as I had just had a feisty argument with my X-wife a couple hours earlier. Lets just say I didn't miss. Looking forward to going back out tomorrow and I think I may go out and try to locate a few more tonight. I do like my new caller!

WOW Turbo! way to christen the caller!!!! Sounds like it was fun for you. we will have to get together and do some locating/hunting sometime. What sound did you get it on? When I take my g/f howling, she gets creeped out also but thinks that the howling is awesome. When I was at Bill's to pick my caller, we where standing in the driveway and we called in boat loads of crows. I told you that you would LOVE the caller!!!! Bill's a nice guy who really knows his sh!#. Do you have any pics of the coyote??

Hey browning you asked which sounds we used. Bill wanted me to rib you and tell you they were the same ones he's been telling you to use! But in all serousness I would like to get out sometime and do some calling/locating with you.

SO, Bill wanted you to tell me that?? Mr, Bill forgets that I live on the next street from him and can make his life HELL!!!!!  AND, I have been using the sounds that he told me to!!! But seriously, I have called in coyotes but for some weird reason, my bullets are not flying straight. I blame federal!!! Turbo: Bill is gonna read this, so maybe you should have the heart to tell him the truth!!! Just tell him that you actually took your foxpro out for one last spin and THAT'S how you called in the coyote you shot!!!  ;D ;D just tell me when you wanna go locate/hunt and we will. |
