Opening day was trully discouraging first the weather was horrible then that evening I get an opportunity at a decent doe and shoot right over her back. No excuses bad shot. Well after that I decided to sit on te edge of the same field the next night. I felt the chances were slim based on all the comotion I made the night prior, but I figured i would give it a shot. It was about a half hour before dark when I caught movement on the edge of the field. I repositioned and steadied the TC Encore and shot. It appeared to be a good doe. I walked up to it and realized it was a button buck. Just a little guy. I was disappointed at first and felt I should have waited but hey I guess you have to take the opportunities as they come. I shot a nice doe with the bow earlier and now a 70 pound button buck. I guess I will have to go back to stick and string to get the big one.
