Got me a new Scope mounted light for night hunting. I got me a Light force 170. I have seen these in action a couple of times and just had to get one. Instead of descibing it, I will give a link to the site so those who are insterested can look. www.tufflights.comHere are some pics, it is mounted in my .17 HMR. I am putting a mount on my .204 soon as soon as I get another mount.

Hey browning204, we have the same light, but ours is temporarily out of commission. Light works great, and I have taken I coyote with it. We had trouble with the wiring on ours though. Just be careful when plugging and unplugging the light and makes sure none of the wires are being tugged on. Also follow the instructions for charging the battery or it will die on you, like all rechargeable batteries.
When I used it I never let the light click onto the scope. I would hold it in my hand while searching for eyes to limit the movement, then gently slide it on; but just short of having it lock. I found that to be the best way to use it being that you didn't have to move the whole rifle and there is no sound when you put it on the scope for the shot. I love how much control you have over the power of the light and never found myself using it all the way up.

Thanks for the tips troutpro. I can't wait to use it in the woods.
My Battery came with some charge in it, I wonder how long I should charge it for?

I don't recall how long we charged ours. I would check the directions. We had one battery go bad due to incorrect charging.

So I ordered the wall charger for the light force. It tends the battery by always keeping it at a full charge forever. The guy over at tufflights also gave me another scope mount ($28) and a 30 watt bulb for free!!! Talk about awesome!
The 30 watt bulb will enable the battery to last more than twice as long while full on. I can't wait to get it and see the difference between the 2 bulbs.
