Hi. I'm Glen. I just found your board here & I like the looks of it! I'll try to spend some time here with you folks if you don't mind an Ohio fella hangin out with you. Looks like quite a bit to read here already so I'll get to it. I've even seen a couple familiar names here already.

Welcome aboard bud Please tell me you're a Steelers fan Just kidding. We're all sportsmen looking to share our passion for the outdoors with others and we're glad to have ya on here. What's your flavor of hunting there in Ohio? We have a few members that head down to hunt. Closest I get to Ohio is just outside of Morgantown, WV. Someday I'll make it there.

Thanks for the cool Welcome fellas!! I'll have to do this in order here so I don't get lost. ;D
browning-- Thanks!! I look forward to learning from you folks here too. can't never have enough Friends you know!!
MMG-- Thanks!! I was a Steelers fan for 1 game. I really wanted Bettis to go out on top. I enjoy shooting groundhogs mostly. Stalking them around barns & outbuildings with RF & on out to swatting them with the 221/204 in the open fields. The Ml gets one now & again also. Spring turkey has become an obsession as well. The there's the rest. Deer, coyotes, the occasional fox, squirrels & crows. You'll like it here.
robinvt-- Due West of Pittsburgh about 79 minutes. 20 minutes South of the NFL HOF on I77. New Philadelphia. You're hunting down in SE Ohio. They have some monsters way back in there.
troutpro-- Thanks!! Yes we do have some good deer hunting. The best part is that it doesn't matter of you're on public or private land here. We have a freakin huge population of deer & never seem to dent it. And thats a season from Sept.29th thru Feb 4th this past year. Plus we can stick 3 antlerless deer before gun season & 3 more afterwards for a total of 6. One buck tho. But the does need thinned out real bad.
Our herd is so thick in the areas I hunt it's not really all that fun. I've gone to a compound & setting on the ground for the extra challenge. I got a small spike this year doing that. I have 1 farmer that needs them shot like groundhogs year round & he is talking with the State about that now. I'll be his agent if he can get it pushed thru. You fellas are all Welcome here to shoot our deer. I certainly won't mind at all.
