Just wondering if anyone here is into billiards? I use to be into big time back in the late 80"s early 90"s but since then haven't done much. A lot of 9 ball and bar room hustling over those years ;D Over the years my three custom cues have either been stolen or sold! so I've really been out of it.
Just this past week I started hitting the Concord Billiards hall on main street and my interest is sparked again. I've still got the stoke even though the pockets seem tighter than ever. After about two hours of shooting on Sunday I really was feeling good about my game ;D I even ran out a few racks of nine ball and one 8 ball rack.
While I was in there I was offered a Brunswick cue by Joss with case for $350 by a guy that repairs cues. He let me shoot with it for about 15 minutes and I really liked it. There's a big difference is a house cue and custom cue! He's got me thinking pretty hard about buying it.
Who else is into 8 ball or 9 ball?

back in high school and after I used to play alot of 8 ball. I was pretty good and used to play at brekenridge in salem and some at the old burgandys in londenderry. I never really got into 9 ball though. I never got a custom stick but would try to find the straightest house stick in 19 or 20 ounce and play with that.

Well the rotten $%&!*# sold the cue on me I called him and he told me he just sold it a 1/2 hour ago down in MA. Now I've got to start the looking process all over again.

Me and the guys go out every now and then and shoot some. Dont do it too often as we come home smelling like a freakin ashtray. Also, the place in Hooksett we usually go to is closed due to the flooding done way back.

The place in Concord is a non-smoking or drinking pool hall. Which is pretty nice that my wife and son can hang out while break a few racks. I haven't been playing much the past few weeks. I had to put my cue hunting a side for a while at least until the golf season is over. I've got the one I'd like picked out, just waiting for the money now ;D

Here's the cue I'm looking to get along with the case I like. The case is shown in the grey and mine will be either black or green. I looked into getting a break/jump cue but they cost too much at this point. The case holds two cues for when I do get the breaking stick ;D
