Several years ago I came across the full belt clip of 223 ammo for a SAW machine gun with every 5th round a tracer. I think there is either 200 or 250 round on it. Well I was working in my basement over the weekend and came across them. They should be fun to shoot out of my varmint rifle

dont know if it makes a difference but SAW ammo, M855 was hotter than regular 5.56 ammo, M193. They also had a heavier bullet in them. I remember that they did not shoot well out of the old style m16a1's as there was not enough barrel twist in the rifle.
You can tell the difference as the m855 ammo has green tips on them and the tracer round is orange. M193 ammo has paint on the tip and the tracer is tiped in red.
