Kind of. I will be elk hunting there again this fall. We actually went out to look at cabins. Ended up buying one so I will always have a place to stay now in Colorado!

Pictures are nice!! I just got a new Cannon AES for my birthday with two lenses, back in the "fun" picture taking game! Use to do it alot in college and the small digitals just don't cut it for things like sports pictures of the kids!
I am curious about the cabin, we've toyed with an idea something like this, any details on it?

Kind of a long story. We bought 40.6 acres there in 2005 with the intention of building a cabin for hunting/vacations/retirement/investment. Last summer I start doing the research and getting estimates. It can be expensive to build in the mountains, plus it's a short building season. With the state of the economy and the real estate market, we took a look at existing places. There were many for sale in the area we were looking. Some had been for sale for a long time. With our list of criteria, we looked at 12 places and found one that would met our needs. After a week of negotiation, we came to an agreement and are closing in 2 weeks. It's 3.5 miles from our land and about the same distance to National Forest. The subdivision is gated, so it's a little more secure for a long distance owner. It's at 9,100 feet, accessible year round, 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms, well, septic, electric, phone, and of course views! The price was right and taxes are cheap so we pulled the trigger. Oh, the elk and mule deer hunting isn't too shaby either
