Well, I must confess I have slacked on training Neely during turkey season and it shows. He has become stubborn like his Dad and that is pretty goddamned stubborn! ;D Neely for those of you that are new is a 1 year old Lewellyn Setter, my second bird dog and 1st pointer. I have a great training area and outfitter that is working with us sporadically (and when the budget allows it) but we are going at it mostly alone...kinda like ribs on a smoker, low and slkow. MJFlores has been a big help and we have gotten together for a session but I am sure his son takes up alot of time as does most of our families. Just throwing out a line to anyone interested in training 2 (quasi) pointing dog neophytes willing to run their dogs, teach owner and pup a few tricks and have a good ol' time. I will never ask for any covert locations so dont worry about that...thats rude and from Tom's "SLOB hunter" posts quite common in this state. HANK Attachments:

Hi Hank how ya been...you're not the only one slacking off! Roux is giving me dirty looks it's been so long. Been way busy with work, family, and firewood. We'll have to get out soon. If these pigeons would ever hatch some chicks I'd give you a few...I just threw out the old eggs and already have 2 sitting so we'll see what comes. Lets watch the weather and pick a cool am or pm to at least run the dogs...I finally gave Roux her summer cut so she at least wont keel over from heat stroke...need to start slow and work up the runs before any real training...and she is due to come in to heat so that could stop things for a month...rather it happen now than in Oct!! LOL. Talk soon. Mike
