Anyone ever tried it? From what I can tell you can just buy a license as a non-resident. The regs are really confusing though.

I looked into that once and got the same impression. could e that you are required to hire a guide as in most canadian provinces

It says that for caribou, but not for moose. I think this might be worth looking into a bit further...

you need two people per tag. Best is to hire a guide. There is a guy around Mont Laurier, Quebec that I was going to go with that did a combo deer and moose hunt for right around $1200 and that included food and lodging. He will also get you a local to put on the license and you split the meat with them. I dont remember the name but I want to say it was north west of Mont Laurier.
