So I headed out to a pond about 1/2 mile in yesterday. The pond I am trying to trap is not much of a pond at all, I would cal it more of a marsh. There are two huts and one has freshly peeled sticks on it, so I am pretty sure they are in use. Here are my questions:
1. I cant find a feed bed. I covered every inch of that place and if there is one, I am at a loss. Is it possible that the feedbed is under the ice completely?
2. The area around the huts is shallower that I thought it would be, around 2 foot. In fact the whole pond is shallow between a few inches and 2 foot. There is one spot right before the dam that is three feet and over should I put my bait conis there?
As usual, any help is much appreciated.
