So I’ve been thinking hard about buying the Foxpro Firestorm caller. My main targeted critters will be coyotes of course and crow hunting. I’m sure that it will be used in back in PA for some fox hunting but not nearly as much as for the coyotes. Does anyone have any personal hands on input on it?

Tom, I have the Foxpro Spitfire and it is great, only holds 25 sounds but thats plenty for me. Too many sounds gets daunting as you have to scroll thru to get to each call and it isnt fast, steady but not quick. The Firestorm holds 500 sounds if I am not mistaken? Thats alot of hardware and when I downloaded new sounds to the call I had to call a buddy to come over do it...honestly it's a pain in the ass (especially for a computer moron like me) but to each his own. Aside from the downloading it is an awesome call... Be happy to show it to you anytime, brings in crows like you wouldnt believe...still waiting on a yote to show but havent experimented enough with it. HANK

Tom, there were a few callers on Craigslist a day or two ago. I think there was a cheap(er) FoxPro and a Johnny Stewart as well. I think they were even somewhat close to you as I recall. Might try a search on CL and see if they are still there.

Well my Firestorm caller came today With the bad weather for ice and back order on the tip ups I want, I decided on the FoxPro. You’re right Hank, all those sound can be a little bit overwhelming to go through. There’s a lot of sound that came with it that I know I’ll never use. I sure I’ll have a lot of fun with guys in our turkey camp by playing the elk bugle or the lone wolf howl up on the hill above the camp ;D As for downloading sounds, I’m sure I can get through it and if not, I know my wife can figure it out. A great bonus about being married to DNA scientist…they follow directions to the letter. There’s a crow call sound package I’ll be looking to load up but I’ll have to wait for Fathers Day. What I can’t get over is how light this call is A far cry from my old Johnny Steward cassette caller! Dan, thanks for the heads up but I’m kind a picky about some things I buy being used. For the money these things cost and it being electronics, I want new with warranty just in case

That would be the bees knees for crow hunting. No sore throat at the end of the day.

Thats awesome Tom! That call brings in the crows like you wouldnt believe! I had a few guys up to my camp last year for bear, crow and coyote hunting and just a "guys weekend"...loaded up" raccoon fight" at it's loudest right under the chair my buddy was sitting in, he had passed out next to the camp fire..took it off mute and me and the other 5 guys pissed ourselves laughing at his reaction ;D The funniest part was that he DID'NT wake up right away...once he did he pulled his 9mm and damn near shot the call! Once you get used to it the call really makes a huge difference and you should be taking critters in no time! HANK

In our turkey camp, that kind of stuff is right up my alley.
My wheeler was in for tune/check up a few days ago so went to pick it up this morning. While waiting for them to bring it out of the shop, I spotted a crow flying several hundred yards away. I took out the call and used the crow fight. In less than 5 minutes, I had 6 crows circling (in shotgun range) around the Freedom shop back parking lot ;D
Being a hunter I don't want to sound blood thirsty but if they come in that well out set up on a farm field, they are in for a serious hurting ;D

Foxpro Spitfire is what I use for crows. I put 90 down for the dirt nap last year.
