...for me. Friday evening I saw my first sign of bucks chasing. Sitting in the open hardwoods, I had a doe come running up the hillside & stop about 30 yard in front of me. She did know exactly what I was & decided to run off to my right & past me. About 1 minute later a small 6 pointer came running right up the trail & stopped close to where she did. He didn’t really see because he was looking for her. I had the scope hairs right on his head checking out his rack but never once dropped down on his chest. He was just the kind of buck that I let go in my effords to improve deer in the areas I hunt or to let grow up & get smarter. I'm learning a lot of about this this year. I’m sure if I end up not using my tag, this one might come back & haunt me but for only a second If he lives through the gauntlet of “if its brown it’s down” or “any antlered buck will do”….then he’ll make for a great challenge trying to figuring him out in another couple of years or chasing around on my trail camera.

My buddies in OH said the same thing. They are just starting. We leave Thur so looks like we may hit it pretty good.

watched a decent eight pointer poking out in a field on a busy roadside following a doe that was feeding in the field, somewhere around noontime.
