Pros :
1. T on top & bottom of sticks helps with climbing on to stand. It also keeps sticks from sinking into the ground like a few of my other sticks.
2. The stick itself set off the tree a good 6” or 8” which makes climbing it with boots on a lot easier. Again, a few of my other sticks are too close to the tree & getting my boot on the steps can be difficult at times depending on the tree.
3. Each section of sticks has its own cinch strap or cam buckle. Makes securing the sticks to the tree tight.
4. Each step is angled up making it easy to climb & feel safe.
5. 300lb weight limit
6. Cost
7. All section breaks down & can be stack & strapping together for easy carrying in & out of the woods.
8. Light weight. I've got a set of sticks that weight probably 5lb or 7lbs more so I'm pleased with the weight of them.
Cons :
1. Pins connecting stick sections rattles. The metal on metal ping sounds pretty loud if you hit them on the way up or down.
2. Each section has doubled up steps. It not really that big of deal seeing it worked out great while securing my stand to the tree.
3. Top section does not have a double strap. I added an extra strap to the top section because it’s where I transfer myself & big butt to my stand.
4. They should make it a 20' instead of 16'
Field Tip:
Take the time to set them up at home & mark each section before putting them together out in the woods. I mark both side of the sticks on the top of the first section as 1 & then the bottom of second section as 1. I then mark the top of the second section as 2 & the bottom of the third section as 2. I do on each section so that way once in the woods I can grab the section & match the numbers putting it together as I had it set at home. I do this with all my sticks, not just this set.
