Took out the new caller this morning. No joy on coyotes. Not sure if I'm doing it right as I never have used a caller before. I think I may be switching too quickly between calls.
How long do you usually leave a sound on before changing it? It's too easy with the Wildlife Tech MA-15 to change them and screw with the volume. I also think I may have too many coyote sounds on mine. I also think they should include a DVD or some sort of tutorial with the purchase. You would think for $500 you would at least get more than a two page instruction book on how to install the batteries. Even if the website had more info it would be great. Here's what I have
Mouse Vole Muskrat B D Cottontail A D Cottontail Y D Flemming Hare B D Snowshoe Hare D Black Bear A D Black Bear B D 4month Black Bear Begging Gray Squirrel D Groundhog A D Porcupine B D Racoon A&B fighting Red Fox A D Striped Skunk A D Pileated Woodpecker D Wild Turkey Hen Feeding Ringneck Pheasant Y M D Blue Jay D Ravens Fighting Crow D HP Crow & Barred Owl Crows Mobbing Coyote A F Communicative Coyote Y F Howls Coyote Y F Territorial Call Coyote A F Mating Howls Coyote A M Communicative Coyote Y single Howls Coyote A M Territorial Coyote A M Aggressive Coyote Y M Aggressive Coyote Pair Aggressive Coyote A D Coyote M&F Howling Coyote Pup D 10 month Coyote A Fighting Coyote Pups Howling Coyote Hunting Whines Coyote A M Rally group howl
Any idea on how I should be playing this?

Oh yeah...the crow call worked like magic. I ended up shooting one with my CZ 452 17hmr. I used the 20 grain XTP bullets and it just put one tiny hole through him. Didn't do the big explosion thing that the 17 grains do on squirrels. I also shot a porcupine and the same thing happened...he almost shrugged off the body shot it was so small, the head shot he had a little more trouble ignoring.

Looking to get a Foxpro call from Santa for coyotes and crows, my buddy has one and he loves it. We'll see how it works, have a ton of yotes I have to get rid of behind my house, the deer herd and sign has dwindled remarkably since Ive been here (9 yrs.). Had a guy see 6 of them one morning with no calling at all. Thats what happens when you live in front of 2 granite quarries I guess.... Good Luck! HANK
