Here is word for word from a Moultrie release letter given to me by Jim Morse just an hour ago Alabaster, AL - Moultrie announced the availability of a software upgrade for the Game Spy D55 & D55IR digital trail cameras that adds a 15 & 30 second delay setting.
The downloadable software upgrade is now available on Moultrie's web site. Previously, D55 & D55IR users could choose from a 1 to 60 minute delay. The new will allow users to also select a faster delay of 15 or 30 seconds, which will be beneficial to those capturing images on a trail.
It is important to note that the Game Spy D55 & D55IR cameras currently in production will include the software upgrade. Moultrie ask customers to be sure to check the delay settings in the set up menu before downloading the software. If the 15 second & 30 second delay is available in the menu, the upgrade is already installed & should not be downloaded.
To download the available software upgrade, go to... www.moultriefeeders.com/softwareupdates/default.
For questions concerning the new upgrade, please contact Moultrie's Customer Service department via e-mail at... info@moultriefeeders.com

After comparing the MOULTRIE D55R to the WILDGAME INNOVATIONS IR5D camera , I have come to the conclusion that the 15 second upgrade for the MOULTRIE is worth the time to download. My WILDGAME camera has a minimum of 30 second delay and MKM was nice enough to let me compare his MOULTRIE with a 15 second delay to the WGI 30 second delay. My findings were that the 15 seconds makes a BIG difference in capturing a moving shot. I set both cameras up in my kitchen and walked straight towards the cameras and found that the MOULTRIE captued more shots than the WGI. The second thing I found was that the MOULTRIE took clearer pictures. Compared to the WGI
