Hey guys,
I'm new to the board. My name is Jonathan Duclos and I am about to graduate from Umass Lowell with a BA in Criminal Justice. I am hoping it takes me somewhere in the Fish and Game field, but I am open to ALL options. My passions in life are hunting and fishing, but you can also find me at the gym everyday preparing for the rigors of the outdoors. I believe that hunting and fishing are just as physical as other sports. I have played college basketball (I am 6'6") and I believe that fishing and hunting are just as rough on the body.
I tournament fish for bass during the spring, summer, and fall, and in the few years that I have been doing it, I believe that I have been very successful in it. I helped found the NH Junior BassMasters and help out with their tournaments every year. In the fall, I turn to upland bird hunting. I have a Llewelin Setter named Cody, and my dad has a Weimaraner names Sage.
Turkey hunting in the spring is just as exciting as having a woodcock flush from uner your nose. I shot my first turkey last season and I dont think I could have been anymore exciting. It weighed 20lbs, 8 3/4" beard, and 13/16" spurs. I shot it at 12 yards, and used my dads old Knight and Hale slate call to call him in.
Thats all the time I have for now, but if you have anymore questions, dont hesitate to ask.
I just want to thank Tom Staples of Tooky River Calls for telling me about this site.
