Hello, hello. New to the forum, I'm the guy that cleaned Tom's boiler the other day. I thought I would share a bit of Thursdays and Fridays pheasant hunts. Headed out Thursday afternoon with Tama my yellow lab. and we put up 3 birds, all misses for me..Tama wasn't pleased, good primer for Friday. Friday saw me and the wife as well as a friend new to birds at a site Tama enjoys hunting. Within 10 minutes Tama had a rooster up and cackling, no shot for me but my wife slung some lead to no avail. she needs to realize her new semi auto. is not her single shot. A few minutes later Tama was working the nasty stuff and punched up another cackling rooster, and this time I connected..one shot, first bird in the bag for '09! Headed to another site to meet up with some friends and were into birds rather quick but had to really work for them, watching the dogs work is my favorite part, a bird is the icing on the cake. My buddy got his limit with 2 nice roosters, the wife went bird less(still a novice, it will come) and I got to watch my "son" kick butt in the fields...good.times. Gave him Saturday off, he is almost 8 and slowing a bit, hopefully heading out later for some more. HANK

Welcome aboard HANK It sounds like you had an awesome time in the field. On my way home today I several people just down the road from me out hunting. I miss those days and hopefully in a few more years, I'll be back out there. I want to get GSP but our little one plus a new dog is a little too much right now. I'll look for the post I made on post photos and get it to you. If you're still having trouble, I can try walking you through it over the phone. Good Luck and again....welcome to NHW&W MK-M-GOBL (aka....knucklehead, dip-$#it and Tom ;D) How to post photos on the forum? Believe me, when I didn’t know how to load images, it was very frustration. Now that I know how, it amazing just how east it is to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to explain this and it will help you understand how it’s done.
First of all you need to have your photo hosted on a photo hosting site like www.PhotoBucket.com or www.hunt101.com. I use PB because it’s free, easy it to load and edit my images. Also I emailed the owner of Hunt 101 and I asked why the site was always down along with my images. He emailed me back with a lot of un-kind words and deleted my account. So if you go with them, don’t complain about their service or lack of! You’ll lose all you images with a click of a button.
Once your photos are loaded on a hosting site, you should edit the image you want to share with us. Resizing your photo(s) size format to a message board (640X480) will make the photo on the site a perfect size for viewing without having to scroll the photo over.
After you have it resized on PB, go down to the right below your photo and copy the URL address located under the IMG Code – Forums & Bulletin Boards. This code is what you’ll what to post into your thread. To copy it, left click over the code they provide and it should pop up in yellow, meaning it’s been copied. You can right click and copy it that way too.
As you make your post on the forum, you just right click the thread area and hit paste. You should have a photo in your post now. Before posting though, you might want to hit preview to see if you loaded it right. Hope this helps

Thanks Tom...I'll be asking for plenty of advice, hunting and technical! Got back out today for a quick 2 hour hunt. Lots of walking and no birds. Tama got birdy a few times but nothing doing. Walked a few fields and then decided to go deep and get in the nasty stuff, maybe kick up a partridge or two. Tama decided to go for a dunk in a swampy area and checked out a few small bucky islands, yesterdays day off really got him going today, he was non stop till the end. He was working this small island good as my wife and I tried to find a good opening, when a rooster exploded from under Tama cackling all the way. I had a few small windows to shoot through, missed both...better off, dont know if my retriever would've retrieved Within 30 seconds of the first flush another rooster (lots of roosters, not many hens) cackles up and away,no shot at all, vcould'nt see it but man was it good to get Tama into birds! Worked a bit more cover, nothing doing and Tama's tongue was dragging so it was time to call it a day. Good hunt with my sweetie and my boy, good times. Back at it this week after work i hope, Friday is a definite! HANK
