Product Name: Thermos Nissan® Vacuum Bottle
Product Description: On brisk late morning hunts nothing hits the spot like a hot cup of coffee. It even proves to be very handy on several of my long hunting trip where I’ve got to travel to my hunting destination. The Thermos Nissan Beverage Bottle features TherMax Vacuum Insulation which virtually eliminates temperature change by creating an airless vacuum space between two stainless steel walls. The result is an insulation layer that performs better than any other. It has a double O-ring system that locks in heat with a pour through cap that lets you refill your mug without removing the top. And unlike inferior glass-lined bottles, Nissan's stainless steel liner provides shatter-proof insulation.
The retractable handle provides a steady grip for pouring and also has a detachable shoulder strap which makes it easy to carry. It’s fairly light and compact design for effortless transport and storage. The bottle has stayed cool to the touch with hot liquids and had no condensation when filled with cold liquids.
Pros: It’s kept my coffee hotter a lot longer than any other thermos I’ve owned. Just prep the bottle with hot water for 10 to 15 minutes before adding my coffee and I’m good all day. The 34oz capacity of it works great for me. I’ve found it holds just the right amount for myself and sharing a cup of “joe” with family at the truck.
Cons: My first con would be the cost. I paid 49.99 and feel it’s a little too much. Also even though its thermal performance rating is supposed to be 24 hours for hot or cold beverages, I’ve put to the test several times in my travels. I’ve found it to be more like 15 hour rating for coffee to be still in the drinkable range for me. The cap of the thermos is plastic (at least with the camouflage one I own) and not very deep. It tends to heat up when I go to use it and I wish the cup was deeper for when on the road.
Overall Impression: My overall view of the Thermos Nissan® Vacuum Bottle despite the few minor cons I listed is two thumbs up for me all the way. I would buy another one in a heart beat if I were to loose this one. It really hard to beat a good thermos that will keep your beverage hot and I believe I’ve found it with this one.
Rating: 8 of 10.
