After my long ordeal this past week, if finally got up to get my new and improved "Natalie" Tried to get a sling for her today but no luck. The Rhino choke and Williams sight will make their way to her as soon as I'm up to head downstairs and work on her. I'll post a few pics of her once she's all dressed up

Well I'm a little right now! Went down to my reloading room to gathered up my stuff for "Natalie" and my Rhino choke tube doesn't fit. Now I've either got to see if Rhino will let me trade up or I'll be in the market for another 20ga choke tube. Rhino, Pure Gold, Indian Creek or Kicks will be a few I'll be looking at.

Tom go Pure Gold .555 and get some Nitro straight 7's and you will rock the house!! Guaranteed!!.. Glad you are feeling better!!..P.S. if you need some help with those pesky N.H. gobblers give me a buzz!! ...Bob..

Tom if you have to buy a new choke, I would offer you one suggestion before you buying a new one. Find a gunsmith that can measure you bore diameter. It should be .723 as that is the standard for benelli but it can vary few thousandths. The 12ga standard is .729 and that is what chokes are based on. If it says 40 thousandths constriction and you put it in a bennelli with a bore of .720 you have a tighter choke than you want.
Conversely if you want a choke constriction of 40 thousandths and you order one at .689 but you put it in a .720 bore you end up with one almost two chokes tighter than what you want.
If you know your bore diameter you can than order the exact constriction you want. There are several companies that you can order them from. I have used both Rhino and Briley. They both make some great chokes plus they can do a lot of custom work to the gun to improve patterns even more. Another option is Seminole gun works. I have never used them but they are very popular in the sporting clays circuit.
Its to late now but if you want a gun that can really throw a tight pattern you should send Natalie out after turkey season for some cosmetic surgery!!

I hear ya on the Nitros but doing them year after year is not going to work me. With the patterning I like to do every year to know my gun and all the turkey chasing I do, I'd go broke. Maybe I should looking into rolling my own turkey loads Now that's something I might do and could probably really come up with a hot load. I'd really like to try and get this new thumper to be able to shoot Hevi-13 #6's. So Bob, do you know someone with the M2 and Pure Gold combo?

That Pure Gold has been mentioned a lot. I'll probably break down and buy both and compare side by side. Thanks for the tip

I know, I miss my 870 at times I look at like my golf game and how I dress to play, my game isn't great but at least I look good trying. Well the same with the Benelli and hunting, when I walk out of the woods empty handed at least I'll look good carrying a Benelli And yes..me walking out of the woods empty handed happens more than I care to admit to You just wait Bob, after we get your son to thump his NH gobbler, I'll let you shoot Big Ben or Natalie then you'll want one. Hey, I just PMed Bill (owner of Pure Gold) about his turkey tubes. I'll have one soon

seems like I overlooked one important detail, Natalie is a 20 ga not a 12. I dont remember the details on the 20ga but the principle is the same. If you want the best possible patterns get a choke made to fit your gun.

If you want the best possible patterns get a choke made to fit your gun. Yep she's a nice light 20Ga. There's days where I've asked myself, why am I carrying this 12GA around when I know a 20 will do just as good of job on the gobblers. I've pretty much eliminated several brands of chokes that out there. Mad, Jelly head and TruGlo tubes are off my list forever even though I know different guns likes different chokes. I've bought and tried those tubes enough that I never want to waste my time or money again. Not saying their not good, I've seen patterns from them that are great but not up to my so called standards. I'm ordering the Pure Gold today and probably the Indian Creek, a Kicks gobbling thunder and even Benelli turkey choke in a few weeks. A good day at the range with these four plus about $$$ in different turkey loads, I should be able to dial in a winner
