I wanted to find out what any of you are using for range finders.
I have been using a Bushnell yardage pro compact 800. It works well, and has been acurate for me. I wanted to get a Leica but couldn't drop the coin they want for them. The Bushnell is simple and is not too bulky. So it fit what I needed.

I bought the Busnell 400 when they first came out years ago and it still works great.! I use mine for when I sight in my bow or guns and for bowhunting. Mine is bulky too and is a pain in the butt to carry every time I go hunting. Like to take it in at least once to my bowhunting spots and range my shooting lanes to get a general idea of what I'm looking at for yardage. Never used it on a deer coming into my stand or standing near me. I also used it when I went ground hog hunting but haven't done that in a while This summer I plan on going back home to PA and thump a few ground hogs. I'll be using it then for sure

Bushnell yardage pro.
It has served me well for 3+ years but if I bought one now I would by the Nikon Monarch laser 800.

I also have the Bushnell Yardage Pro. The only thing i don't like about it is that it eats up batteries pretty good.

Scout, I had the same problem with my Bushnell Yardage Pro. Called the factory, they said it should not use battteries up. Sent it back to the factory, they replaced it. I hunt all year long, almost every day and have used the same battery for two years now.
