Took this spike this morning at around 6:30am. Deer came in skirting the edge of a swamp that I had a stand on. To be honest didn't even know it was a buck until I walked up to it. I decided due to time constraints that any deer of size was going to get it today. I passed on a small doe on Saturday and could not resist the 40 yard shot this guy gave me. I hunted with my prohunter Katahdin last year and did not get an opportunity to shoot a deer with it. I had to get her on the board. Shot clean through this deer with a 250 grain shockwave. He ran about 40 yards and upon field dressing I realized I heart shot him. This property has been very good to me this year. I took a 19 pound turkey, a 117 pound doe during archery season and this 119 pound spike. All in all a great year. Good Luck to those of you still out there.

Awesome job! That's a couple of great deer!
Them spikes look small for that head of the deer, looks like a big head!
Congrats on a great season!
