Both me and my father were drawn for Either Sex Moose Permits for WMU E1 (Norton, Averill, Caanan region of VT) up in the northeast corner of the state for the Oct 18-23 season. East of Rt 114 and north of Rt 105. It really covers some of the best moose country in VT so we should have a good chance of getting at least one.
We have both been putting in for them to double our odds of getting 1 permit - what a shock to have Both of us picked!
We are allowed a co-permitee, so my dad is going to put my brother on as his and I will have my father-in-law on mine. It has been about 25 years since I have hunted with my brother, so that will be fun. My dad is coming up from PA and my brother is coming from WV.
I've been up scouting and a frind of mine has a camp up there and he will be guiding us as well and he really knows the area well and has even gotten a couple moose and one year, the largest buck taken in VT.
Anyway - The best of luck to Charlie on his moose hunt in NH and I hope we get to share stories of success after the season is over!
Two guys I work with got antlerless permits for E1 as well, that season runs the following Saturday (Oct 25) through the next Saturday.

Hey Kurt congrats on the Moose permits. This should be an interesting year for hunting. We should have some stories to tell. Good luck to you and your dad.
