Well I couldn't wait,I have never been to Pittsburg NH so I did a day trip Saturday. I left at 5 AM and got home at 7 PM. What a beautiful day it was, I saw 2 Moose and 9 deer. I found my friends camp, it is just off RTE 3 on Back Lake road. When I got out to look at the camp, there were fresh Moose tracks in the road. We spent several hours riding log roads and hiked a few skidder trails into some clearcuts, Moose tracks everywhere . We found 1 super Moose run, got really excited followed it for quite a distance into some cut offs, it was unbelievable. The tracks were huge and fresh going both directions. Now the sad part, I marked it on my GPS and it showed us a little bit of a ways into Maine. I guess I have to keep an eye on the state line thing. That would be a hard one to explain. My next trip up I'm going to stay for the weekend and be able to spend more time. I can't wait. Charlie

I use to muzzleload up there. One morning I walked up on a cow and small bull bedded. I sat on a log and watched them (about 40 yards away). Suddenly a slightly larger bull showed up, then another, then another, then big daddy rabbit showed up. The first 3 were all young bulls less then 30 inches, the 4th was a 40 incher and the 5th was a solid 50 incher. The cow took off and they all followed in single file with the big guy leading the way. Pretty cool sight.
This was on the Indian Stream road about half way up between rout 3 and the border on the east side of the road. There were some nice cuts there that at the time were 3 to 5 years old. Of course this was 10 years ago so I'm sure everything has changed up there.
Good luck and keep us posted . . . Rob

Well I plan on going back up there a few more times to find some other spots. I just did a day trip last weekend, because I was excited to go up and see what it was like. I've never been up north hunting. It sure is different than down here in the Cornish area. Thanks for the advice.
