I'm looking to make a purchase of some hats for Tooky River Calls and would like some feed back on what you look for in a hat. I personally am looking to get 6 panel hats done up in Mossy Oak Obsession camouflage with the following image below printed on them except you’ll see TRC for center initials, Tooky River Calls across the top arch, phone number across the bottom arch and a single turkey track between name and number. On the back above and following the vent arch…….The Last Call Your Turkey Will Ever Hear. The hat image below is from my friend’s video company in Maryland / West Virginia area, Donnie Kirby. Would you wear the Mossy Oak Obsession camouflage hat? Do you think the hats should be done in an earth tone color and not camouflage? Do you like the profile and bill shape of the lower image hat? Do you like the mess or non-mess style of hat? If I go with a mess back I will not be able to include the slogan across the back. What do you think of the deer and turkey image? Should I keep them or loose them? Thanks for the advice or opinions on this topic and hopefully I can get some hat made up soon.

Sounds like the lay out of the hat will look nice. I like the Mossy Oak pattern, which is on my current hat. Being that the hat is for a hunting product I would use the camo, though I do wear earthtones when not in the woods, also I prefer non-mesh hats. Sounds like you are doing a great job with Tooky River Calls!

I"m not a big fan of the mesh, and prefer camo to earthtones. Is the bill on the lower hat the shorter 'bowhunter's bill'? If it is, it would be a bonus. If you wanted to get really innovative....a couple snaps on the side that you could snap on/snap off a facemask would be a neat add on. All though I like the short billed hats, I can't find them blank in a camo pattern worth buying or the snap on face mask without spending a fortune. I'm thinking more casual wear like when out scouting, a sportman show or out running around doing the honey do list / yard work ;D Sounds like the lay out of the hat will look nice. Thanks troutpro

I like Hats that are: - Shaped,
Non Mesh A different type of Camo pattern (Predator, ASAT, Nat Gear, est) Velcro adjustment and not plastic.
Perhaps you should consider having a Pro staff to help get the work out

I'm voting for:
Shaped Not mesh Velcro Close Camo, doesn't have to be exotic for me
Be a hunting hat for me, though, not everyday...

Thanks for the help guys I guess the mess back is not a big hit. Just as well seeing I couldn't add the call slogan across the back. I'd love to find the velcro backs but can't in the Obsession camo. They do have it for the Break-up pattern which I like just as much. I just might have to check them out That would be cool to have TRC on the velcro strap. The description for the Mossy Oak Obsession hat posted above is. Mid-profile 6-panel baseball cap with Self-fabric Flex-Strap™ Fused buckram Pre-curved visor I didn't hear back from my contact yet on a price yet. I only put it in this morning so it might take a day or two. I'm sure I'll be making a million changes before it all said and done So now, here are three shirt designs I’ve also been working on. Which do guys like better? I think the green shirt is a little too dark and like the other two better. I just might change up the dark green for a tan and see how it looks. I know I'll be keeping it in either the tan, pine or grey tone shirts I’ve done the design on so far.

Good! That's two thumbs up so far for the one I like the most ;D I really like that color of that shirt as well. I think it would look great with a pair of camo bottoms after a day of hunting and sitting around camp telling lies

Well I just spoke with my salesperson about the hats. All things are looking good and they are in my price range ;D I just got to make a finally decision and approval before they head into the embroidery room I would like to make sure I've got plenty of hats on hand here for orders through my web site and for my pro staff. So I guess my next question is, who would be interested in ordering a TRC hat? By letting me know now doesn’t mean I’ll hold you to it the day they come in. I’m just want to get some kind of an idea of what to expect when I do get them in. Hate to order 36 and find out 35 of our members wants hats and have to turn around and re-order so fast. Not that selling out or re-order is a bad thing, I just hate the waiting and more importantly, don't want to leave someone hanging without a hat The hats are as described below with the following embroidery from the photos already posted. I was told that it would be exactlly like the photo I sent them and posted above but with my info. I’ll should have an images of the actually hat once I pull the trigger on them seeing I have to approve it before they work on them. I’ll post photos (if I can?) at that point. Now I see other full camouflage hats ranging from $14 to $20. I think $20 is way too much and the $14 per hat would be putting me in a hole at eye level. I’d be looking at $16.50 price range. Anyone interested, just let me know soon. Mossy Oak Obsession Camouflage -#MO16 • Mid-profile • 6-panel baseball cap with • Self-fabric Flex-Strap™ • Fused buckram • Pre-curved visor

For pro staff hats, I was thinking of having their names added on the one side of the hat. Maybe that's something she can do.

OK, I got the hats in the works even though Robin told me she forgot to add a charge into my quote It's an extra $1.50 for the stitching on the back of the hats Robin is sending me two hat today for me see before actually doing the embroidery to them. The one is a Flex-Fit Mossy Oak Obsession and the other is a Velcro strap but in an non-name brand camouflage pattern. It looks OK but I'm not 100% thrilled about it This is where I can be very picky. I'll have to meet up with our newest TRC Pro Staff member Ken when they come in to get a final opinion as to which hat to go with. It should be easy decision with them both in hand. The shirts might be on hold until after the holidays I'd like to see if I can get a few shirt samples before making that deal. There's just way too much at stake with the cost and with ordering 126 shirts for me to be doing it blind. I just refuse to do it and the company I'm dealing with right now is not giving in with my request for two samples. That's OK though, I'll use their program to design my shirts and buy them from someone else if they want to be jerks
