So I'm finally getting around to posting some stuff from last year...before this year gets into gear. The first photo is my favorite river...I won't mention the name! It's all wild trout, nothing stocked and 6-7 miles long. It gets no pressure, I've never seen another person on it and have only fished the first 3 miles closest to the parking. The water is 55 degrees even in the dead of summer, there's nothing like a freestone, mountain run-off river when it's 90 degrees out. The second fish is an 8 inch wild brookie from that nice river. That's about the average size in there river. With the lack of vegetation there comes a lack of food, but I did manage to catch a 10" out of there, unfortunately I didn't get a picture. Lastly, the biggest brookie I think I will ever catch, a 16" brookie out of Profile Lake, he ended up being a fathersday present for my grandfather. I don't usually take the fish, but I love the taste of trout and on occassion I indulge. This year I think I'm going to have a sushi lunch of wild trout. Can't get any fresher than that.

Nice pictures! I don't enjoy keeping trout either, but I will keep them occasionally out of stocked rivers or streams.

Nice photos. I enjoy flyfishing almost as much as deer hunting.
