Hey anyone have any experience or informed opinions on the Mossberg 702 Plinkster? I've been looking at getting an inexpensive 22 rifle to introduce my wife to shooting and this seems like a pretty decent gun especially for the money. Anyone own one or ever shot one? I'm thinking if I bought one it would be a great gun to get my wife shooting so she can become more comfortable with guns. She's actually talking about taking the hunter ed course next year and thinking about giving turkey hunting a try. Let me know what you think about the gun.

So over 20 views but nobody has any comments? I'm guessing nobody has any experience with this gun, oh well.

Yeah that's pretty much what I figured. It's an inexpensive 22 rifle. Comes in both SA and bolt action and in 18 or 22 inch barrels. I'm just trying to decide between the SA or the bolt action. I think it will be a good little gun to get my wife into shooting. If she doesn't like it, I won't be out a bunch of money and I'll have a little 22 to plink around with.

Can't believe I never saw your question Rob. Yes I did pick one up, and the wife loves it. I sent you a PM. Great little gun for getting someone into shooting and just for plinking.
