once in a while I like to take up north NH my jap 7.7 and flip up the anti-aircraft sights. It's a great conversation pice when bumping into fellow hunters in the woods.`The bad part is that the last time I checked one box of ammo is over 30 bucks! Don't worry, this is NH, you won't be using much ammo

I hear ya. This past season they were logging "our hill" in pittsburg, the deer were all messed up. The last few years I been lucky and got 'em with the knight. Deer sightings down in the south of the state seemed below normal for me while back out with the bow. Maybe we should all move to the Milk river.

I keep using my 35 rem 336 Marlin with a Bushnell Legend 2x7x32. It likes the NH woods. Just got back from the gunsmith and the trigger is set to 3.5 lbs with no creep. It's 18 years young. I refinished the stock last year and it came out fab. I can shoot Hornady LE into 1.25 groups at 100 yards. I'll put up some pics soon. I also may use the following guns:
- Ruger Ultralight M77 in .30-06 with Redfield 3x9x40 - Win 12 gauge Black Shadow 1300 with 1.5x5 Nikon - TC 50 cal Omega SS in green laminate with 1.5x5 Nikon - TC 50 cal Renegade
Adding Very Soon: - Rem 7600 in .270 with Bushnell Legend 3x9x40 -.243 Ruger or .25-06 bolt action. Undecided on make/model. Leaning towards Tikka, Marlin XL7 or Savage.
