So I got my duck dekes, my goose and duck loads, my calls...even got a blow-up raft (and it's not in the shape of a woman or man for all you comedians out there). Got my federal stamp, just need to get my state stamps. Sept. 5th is the start of early goose season and right after that is duck season...I got my local farms for geese and local swamps for ducks...what's everyones opinion on camo?...obviously I'm going to be wearing some, just not sure if I'm going to buy new stuff for duck or just go with my turkey outfit for now...
Any suggestions for duck and goose hunting? I'm a rookie and could use all the help I can get.

I think they will catch on to the pink one. The rest should work well enough.

Got my mallard dekes in...holy expensive those things are...and compared to the goose decoys, they're cheap...how do people justify spending close to $200 for 6 goose decoys, that's insane! Anybody have any they want to "give" away...lol

yeah I never did figure out how folks paid so much for goose dekes. I got 4 off ebay for $50 shipped and they have done ok for me. I want more but can't find any deals.

I'm trying to decide what I should be buying next, a laydown blind for the field or some goose dekes...or a plucker...they're all going to cost some money, but I'm not sure which would be most userful.

Plucker?? I got one word for that, don't. I've tried plucking waterfowl in my ambitious younger days and quit. now i just enjoy tender, juicy, breast meat. Get the layout blind, you won't regret it.
BTW anybody got their state stamps yet?

I have some mallard and wood duck decoys and 2 goose shells and have been looking for more, but man they are expensive!!...but i did score and get 6 G&H new magnum goose shells, new and also 6 new G&H floater goose decoys for.....ta-da!...$100.00! actually got a new cabelas decoy bag too and the floater decoys are all rigged with line n anchors. Earlier I bought 16 woodies, mallards and geese floaters for $40.00, older but in decent shape. so by scouring the internet i managed to bulk up my spread alot pretty cheap and got both sets of decoys right in Concord! No way would I pay the new price!...I usually tossa few duck decoys n the 2 geese out which works good but im leaning towards this fall hunting some big cornfields up north, cant wait!
