I've been out a couple of times with my homemade MP3 caller. Probably a total of five setup so far. No Yotes yet. At lease not that I saw.

I'm new to hunting. I've called in several, but have yet to get one. My Whirling Woodpecker decoy just arrive. Hopefully between that and my Foxpro, my luck will change.

I've been out a couple times this week. Saw two yotes, but neither gave me a shot. Both dogs came out to my bait pile between 7 and 8 PM but would not come in to shot gun range. There has been a crew of hound hunters chasing them, so they are a little skittish. Looks to be a good weekend and a extra day off to hunt. Hope to have good conditions to connect lead to fur.

From what I've heard, having a decoy that moves is ticket! I've been looking at the Mini-Supreme Extreme Decoy from Advanced Decoy Research. Put a rabbit hide on top and turn it on! Those coyote should be tripping over their own four paws trying to get to it. Anyone have what I'm talking about?

It's nice and quiet and the clip lets you put it anywhere. I was using a piece of fake fur glue gunned to look like a small brown critter. I had the decoy heart in it and I'd hang it from a branch. It looked real good moving and all, but the decoy heart was kind of loud.

So far this season Iv'e been out calling 3 saturdays called in 3 coyotes killed two the #2 dog came in so fast it caught me sleepin not expecting a dog so fast (2 min) # 3 was 5 min behind and didnt live to tell the tail. It sucks gettin busted! I was just coming down on the scope when it shot to some cover like it was fired from a cannon. It knew something was up. What Iv'e learned here in Maine is commit to your stand for an hour then move!

That seems to be the going rate in the north east! have to sit on stands for a while to see anything.. I am also looking into some motion decoys but want to find the best one for the money. I don't want to buy one just to find out that it is not effective!!! Then I will have to shoot IT! If anyone has a favorite, let us know.
