Yeah they sure are moving around under the cover of darkness. This spot is usually pretty void of deer during the day though. They cross the river into this piece for food during the night. I put my cam at a crossing and even in the deep woods, they were crossing at night, at least 2 hours after sunset. I just moved one of my camera's to a nice spot, we'll see if anything comes by during the day now that most guys are out of the woods. I have a bunch more photo's to post that I will get up when finals at my college are done. I will feel much better once this crazy week is over with. -Chris

love2hunt - MK-M-GOBL was telling me about your trail cam pictures and I was checking them out. They look pretty good. You say they are from your homemade cameras. If you could, would you post some info about them. I have never tried messing with them but would like to give it a try. Id really like to get a picture of the buck I saw on the last day of Pa. archery. Big 8pt. Thanks

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off lately with college and EMT classes. I built my camera's with a Sony P-41 Camera that I buy off of ebay. If you're patient you can get some pretty good deals. After I purchase the camera, I go to www.whitetailsupply.com. This website has everything you need. It has all the materials, including kits that are put together for your convenience. Along with products on this website, there are many detailed descriptions on how to do everything you need. They have great pictures and the owner of the website, Daryl, is a great guy and has the best customer service of anyone I have every known. Feel free to email him with questions. What I love best about the P-41 is the camera speed. When I put it on trails I am not afraid a deer will walk by before a picture is captured. I have many pictures of deer walking by in mid stride right in the center of the picture. I hope I helped a little bit. Feel free to ask any more questions or PM me and I'll help as much as possible. One thing though, once you build one and get that first big buck picture, you WILL be addicted -Chris

after I sent a reply to your post I found where you guys were talking about the trail cam kits under Hunting Gear. If I had done that first I could have saved you some time. Sorry about that. After running my plan past my wife, she wasn't too keen on the idea of me operating on a perfectly good camera and suggested I try Cabela's instead. So after reading all the reviews on different trail cams and the different prices, I settled on the Moultrie Game Spy 4.0 dgtl. Im still not sure if I did the right thing or not. Every review had good and bad things to say. This will be a starting point for me and if I decide later to try the kit thing I will go in that direction. Thanks for taking the time to answer back. Live and learn. Rob
