OK whitetail, I rolled out some ammo last night for the 220 Swift and made it to the range this afternoon. A little worried about putting my first round through the gun but over came it and here are the results of that trip to the range. I felt real good about all my shots except for the bottom right flyer! (must have been think of that girl ;D) I knew that one was off the second the gun fired. I was shooting 50 yards and know I need to move the sight over a little but didn't want to do it once I started shooting. Tried to keep it the same all the was around and will make the adjustment next trip out. I like the Nosler ammo better! they look to be flying a lot tighter than the Winchester Silvertip. At this stage of loading your own, what would you try next? Should I load up 10 rounds at 39gr & 40gr and put those two rounds through another test? or would just go with either load as is? Top left = 39gr RL15 40gr Nosler Ballistic Tip Top right = 39gr RL15 40gr Winchester Ballistic Silvertip Bottom left = 40gr RL15 40gr Nosler Ballistic Tip Bottom right = 40gr RL15 40gr Winchester Ballistic Silvertip Middle target was Winchester 40gr. Ballistic Silvertip factory ammo

Those Noslers are nice tight groups. I wouldn't change a thing.
If your looking for a tighter group I'd zero it in at 50 yrds. then step back to 75 yrds. and see what happens to the groups.
Sometimes trying a different grain weight of powder or a different powder all together can improve results.
What distance are you looking to shoot at?

I'd like to see to have it right on at 150yd. I think I'll load up a few more at the 39gr and try it at 100yards and go from there. I can even load up a few with a different powder and see how they group at 50yd . I'm definitely sticking with the Noslers.
