Picked up a used Ruger P95DAO yesterday up at Kittery. Couldn't beat the price. The guns in fairly good condition, a little wear on it, but not bad for a 5 year old gun. Can't wait to head to the gun club and shoot it. As it's a 9mm would anyone recommend it for carrying while bow hunting? It's fairly light and when it's in the holster I barely even know it's there.

Congratulation on your first pistol When I had my Glock 27, hunting or not hunting I had it with me 95% of the time. Just be careful your hunting clothing isn't hiding it or better yet get a permit to conceal. You can apply for one at your town police department and it should takes a few weeks to get approved. Good luck

I'm actually thinking of getting my conceal permit now. I had my license to carry and conceal in Mass before I moved to NH a few years ago, so this state shouldn't be a problem.

I like the Ruger pistols for the Money, My carry pistol is a springfield armory XD9 compact but I have had both ruger p85 and p90. They shot well but a little to bulky for me to carry. I look at them when I go to the local gun shop and they have really come along way!

oh by the way. Even if you don't plan to carry it, I would get the permit anyway. If any thing happens, you are covered. Such as, you throw it in the glove box before you run into the post office and then get pulled over while it is in there. Now that gun is concealed without being on you.
