Next time you're out bustin crows, take some photo's of your set up and let's see them Here’s a photos of this morning set up while waiting for the morning frog to burn off. I called one in (and missed) before I stepped out to add the owl decoy. I tried laying it on it side and use the crow fight on the caller to see if it worked. It did but not great. Great set up and after it cleared up, the crows were flying. I need more sound options on my caller and the 12ga. instead of the 20. I’m not the great wing shooter but can get the job done once I settle down so lessons or practice is not out of the picture for me. My shooting stand is tucked in the pines. The fighters that killed an owl ;D My north end tree decoy My east side tree decoy Another one of the tree decoys with shooting position right in the middle of the pines.

I like having deeks in the tree too. I have found that when using an owl you MUST have the crows higher than the owl. Just unnatural for crows to be on the same level as the owl. Have seen multiple times when the crows coming in, do a 180 when they see that setup. now I don't use an owl at all - just crows. I use the crow-owl or mobbing call to get them to come in, and then switch to a young distress when the get closer. That really gets them worked up.
I want to add a motion decoy next to simulate the dying crow.
