Nice going - I went out quickly before work this morning. Hit the same spot I hunted on Sunday and they weren't having anything to do with me. Sat off in the distance and yelled profanities at me. Time for a new spot :-)

After scouting a new spot last evening, I had the chance for a quick hunt this morning again. We setup on the edge of the corn field (great cover), about 200 yards away from a big tree they like to roost in. Setup two decoys with an owl off to the side and fired up the call. In seconds, that tree lit up like mardi gras and in the came. We dropped these two and the rest took off like F-16s. Could not bring them back no matter what we tried. What a great sport to get kids involved in. Quick action and lots of shooting. No chance of getting bored. Attachments:

"We setup on the edge of the corn field (great cover), about 200 yards away from a big tree they like to roost in"
Id sneak 1 hunter in under the roost tree under cover of darkness and set up and put the e-caller up near the edge of the cornfield with another hunter...call em to the e-caller n hit em...then hit em at the tree when they come back!...
"confuse your enemy first by doing unusual, strange or unexpected things. That will distract your enemy and then you can attack with a surprise and that leads to victory."

That sounds like an interesting tactic. Will have to try that - thanks for the suggestion. Did I mention what a fun sport this is
