SEMPER FI ! your a good man, and this great nation will forever be in your debt for your tour of duty. Ive yet to serve, Im currently in the DEP, I swore in, but I do not yet own the honorable title of U.S. Marine. I leave for Paris Island 7/7/08, wish me luck! In the mean time I train and I am finnishing my senior year in High School. And you all probly thought I was middle age. If my display name angers you, let me know and I will change it. I hope my age does not change your opinion of me. let me tell you a little about myself. I was five years old when my father took me out shooting for the first time. It was the greatest thing I had ever done, and I have been fascinated by firearms ever since. my father would ask me "what do you want to do on this beautiful saturday?" I would say " I want to go shoot the .22!" I am lucky to have a good dad that taught me to respect firearms, the way I think everyone should respect them. By my 12th birthday I had saved up enough money on my own to buy an SKS that always interested me, It was kind of a dissapointment. It was at that same age I decided, I wanted to be a U.S. Marine, nothing else has ever crossed my mind.

I know the recruiters are used car salesmen, but it doesn't really matter what the Corps does with me because I'll be content with being a Marine, and serving my country. I'd like to hear some of your USMC stories. well I have to go to PT with the Marines in Dover now.
SEMPER FI!!!

Welcome to the forum! Glad to see such avid support for our nation and am glad to have you on the forum. I am two years younger than you and you don't have to worry about people thinking you are too young especially since you are entering the Marines.

I'm glad to be here! Ken, I know exactly what you mean. Every body looks good in Dress Blues class B uniform, and women can't resist it, not to mention, the Corps will keep you in pretty good shape.
