..my ole mossberg 835 ultramag has sent alot of turkeys and other critters to the great hay field in the sky...but it has always had a too long length of pull for me, especially in cold weather with more clothes on...I always have to reach wayyyy out with my left hand to grip the forearm..and if you short grip with a 3 1/2 turkey magnum round it will about break your left index finger off...well I finally decided to fix that issue with one of these babies: www.cabelas.com/shooting-gear-bla....le-stocks.shtml Mine will be in camo, I looked an 835 tactical turkey with the pistol grip n adjustable stock over and really liked how it felt but didnt want to buy another 835 so this is a good solution and I have become a big fan of the AR style pistol grip and adjustable stock....and aside from the ergonomics if it tames the magnums down I wont be sad either . Ill post a pic after the install.

And here it is...easy install...feels good in hand...Ill see if it really tames down the 3 1/2 inch magnums when I get a chance to shoot it.

The only sour note is as usual Cabelas put the wood right to me for shipping which cost a little under $15.00 which is why I wont shop there unless I cant find the item anywhere else.

My 835 came with a thumbhole stock that I thought I would like but the comb is too high to use the rifle sights. I ended up scoping it so now the comb doesn't hit my cheek as hard. The only other problem I have is that it's hard to reach the safety on the Mossberg when you have a pistol grip stock. Makes you wish it had a trigger guard safety rather than the tang safety. Looks good though.
