Stopped up to Jim today and saw my next gun purchase! If I can’t find a nice wabbit/small game gun by next year. Man is this one’s sweet gun ;D If they had it in camo, I doubt the sticker price it carries would have stop me from buying it in the next month or so. $1300, so I figure the camo version would be probably close to my SBE II cost. A know that a little shocking but well worth it if you actually saw and held it. I could carry this puppy through the brush, the hills of WV and southern PA all day long and still get on a wabbit just as quick if it was the first hunt www.benelliusa.com/firearms/montefeltro.tpl

Just wondering why you would take that over your SBE II unless you got it in 20ga.

Oh no, I wouldn't be giving up my 12 ga. SBE II I want them both ;D I'm looking for something a little lighter for small game & upland hunting. My SBE II will be strictly set up for turkey hunting once I've got a 20ga. in my cabinet. I’d really like to find a Remington 870 Wingmaster 20ga with choke tubes. It would be nice if I could find them both together so I can compare them side by side. I know, there’s no comparing a Benelli to a Remington or an auto or pump. I'll be looking to set the 20 up for turkey hunting too ;D A 20ga can be an awesome turkey thumper if one takes the time to work the proper load for it. Benelli 20ga is all that Chris Parish uses turkey hunting anymore. He told me he can thump them out as far as 40 to 50 yards with no problem if he needs to which isn't that often As my son gets older, I'm sure I'll be buying him his own youth model shotgun for when he's out with me. With the Montefeltro, I can use it for all the years that he using the youth gun. Once he’s big enough to handle it, I’ll be able to pass it along to him as his first hand-me-down shotgun A gun that I'm sure he'll really cherish & appreciate even more than just going out and buying a new one for him.

Might have to start looking at the M2 20ga Reading that it's just as light and I like the Timber HD and Comfor Tech ;D I really like to see and shoulder it before I actually start drolling over it

Well the wabbits in PA/WV are in big trouble come next week I ended up taking a little road trip today and bought a used Montefeltro 20ga with a 24" barrel. Hard case, all five chokes and all the accessories were there in the case. The gun was rated in 97% condition which didn't bother me one bit. Even though we hunt with dogs, I still get in the thick stuff and hunt hard. This gun is mainly a wabbit and grouse gun but I just can't help myself from setting it up for turkey thump'in. I bought a Jelly Head tube for her and will have it ready come spring time. My nephew will probably be breaking her in when we hit our WV camp. I say her because it's so darn slim, light and sweet looking I believe her name will be "Natalie" I'll have a photo of her soon. "Natalie" and "Big Ben" what a sweet Benelli combo ;D

Yeah, that was my biggest worry! How was she going to react when I walked through the door carrying it? All was good and I did get a great deal on it. Showed it to Jim and he told he would have probably listed it in his shop for around $895. I just got the chance this morning to get out and put a few through my new toy. OH boy am I going to love this gun Absolutely sweet! It cycled great, very fast and the point of impact was right on the money ; ) Wabbits around the Mason Dixon Line, watch out cause here I come to put the hurt'in on ya...

That's a beauty! Last weekend I was at the Barre Gun Show. Sold a .22 rifle, single shot shotgun and a bow. Wasn't sure what I wanted to get to "replace" these (at least that's what I told my wife). Well, I guess I jumped on the band wagon. Here is my "little Benni" 20ga. Do you like the "props" I used for the picture?

SWEET I take it by the "props" which I like, you'll be setting it up for turkeys. I've got a brand new Jelly Head if you're interested. I bought a Rhino tube for might right before I left for WV.

Sweet gun. Welcome to the Benelli family. You will love the gun. I'm starting to setup my SBEII for turkey. Can't decide which tube to put in her and what to shoot out of her yet. MK and myself are going to get together and fine tune them.

MK are you putting the movable sights on big BEN? I picked up some heavy shot today. I also want to order a rhino tube but he never called me back. I also want to call Jim and have him order me the short recoil pad.

What's the recoil pad for? I'll know here soon if I need to get the sights. If my guns POA is right on the money, I'd rather not put sights on. Although, having sights on will make me keep my head down on the gun. The biggest mistake most hunters make when they miss a gobbler under 30 yards.
Now that you asking has made me think a little more about it, I'll probably be ordering up the Williams Sights here shortly.

Ok, I have a question. I have a Williams Peep sight on my 870 which attaches to the vented rib. I don't see it listed on their website? I would like to get one for my Beni 20ga. Any thoughts?

Rob. check out Hiviz and tro glo web sights you will see what you are looking for there. I had the same thing on my 870 so I want to put it on the bennelli. I'm leaning towards the tru glo because they are rock solid on the rib.
