I took the little ones to the park today and came across a ton of white oak acorns starting to germinate. I gathered up about 30 of them and going to try and plant them around the yard. I figured if I plant all of them and only a few grow I'm ahead of the game When I was in my teens, my brother planted an acorn near our driveway on my dads farm. It worked so I'm hoping it will work here.

When I first read that it takes 25-30 to start producing, I was dumbed but then it accorded to me that it's perfect! By that time I might not be able to get out or as deep into the woods so hunting in my yard would be a good thing I'll just call my boys the night before opening morning and ask them to bring me over a medium DD and to wheel me out to the porch ;D ;D
