The wife and I went on a bit of a spending spree, at least for us the other day. Sometimes having a wife that shoots can almost be a bad thing, lol. I picked up a used Taurus PT1911 from my friends at the Kittery Trading Post. I'm taking it to the range this afternoon to see how she does. The gun looks like it's barely ever been fired at all. While we were there, we put a deposit on a Colt Match Target that my wife had seen on their used guns page. I think it's a mid to late 50's vintage. It's in pretty decent shape, some small issue on the side of the barrel that I should be able to clean up. From what I've read it should be a great gun and a lot of fun to shoot. Earlier in the day we put a down payment on a brand new Ruger Mark 3. Absolutely gorgeous gun. Blue finish with Cocobalo grips. Can't wait to shoot the 22s.

I haven't broken it down yet. I absolutely love it though, and so does the wife. Haven't had much chance to shoot it yet though as she was in a bad car accident in June. When she gets healed up we'll probably head to the club and shoot it some more. The Colt Match Target shoots really well too.

I love the Browning Buckmarks myself. My wife is a very visual person when it comes to guns and didn't like any of the Buckmarks she has seen to date. Let me know how you like it after you put some more rounds through it. I'm still loving both the Ruger and the Colt I picked up. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll get some time to shoot them both again.
P.S. Thanks for the well wishes on my wife, she's doing better every day and is actually able to put weight on her left leg. The PT guy plans to have her putting 100% of her weight on that leg next week.
